Welcome to the Internet home of the Friends of Gervais Creek and Pond!  If you are wondering what FOGCAP is and just who are the Friends of Gervais Creek and Pond, you should read our Frequently Asked Questions page first (click on About Us at left).

Please browse through the other menu items at left for more information about the ponds and the surrounding area.  There is a little bit about the history of the ponds, information about wildlife at the ponds (plants and animals), and there is a place for your feedback.

RWMWD's Annual Waterfest, 2010

Breeding Birds - September 1, 2009

This was a very good year for breeding birds in the park.  We were able to verify that at least two, and probably three, of the Wood Duck nest boxes were used. Later in the season (in early-to-mid July), we observed at least 33 Wood Duck chicks on the ponds at one time.  ... [Read more]
