Welcome
Welcome to the Internet home of the Friends of Gervais Creek and Pond! If you
are wondering what FOGCAP is and just who are the Friends of Gervais Creek and
Pond, you should read our Frequently Asked Questions page first (click on
About Us at left).
Please browse through the other menu items at left for more
information about the ponds and the surrounding area. There is a little bit
about the history of the ponds, information about wildlife at the ponds
(plants and animals), and there is a place for your feedback.
There are also links to the websites of the City of Little Canada and the
Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District.

Bird News - May 6, 2009
Yes, we added a Common Loon to our park bird list! No, it wasn't on
the ponds. A loon would find it very difficult—if not
impossible—to take off from a body of water as small as the ponds.
But as we walked our dog in the park today, one flew just above tree top level
over the south pond and made its very distinct call. It's the 107th
species we've identified at the ponds. Click here
to see the full list.

Unlike a year ago, the weather cooperated beautifully.
It was bright and sunny day—not too breezy, and not too warm.
We couldn't have asked for a better day to enjoy the park, even when "enjoy" meant "picking up trash."
