Breeding Birds - September 1, 2009
This was a very good year for breeding birds in the park. We were able to verify that at
least two, and probably three, of the Wood Duck nest boxes were used. Later in the season
(in early-to-mid July), we observed at least 33 Wood Duck chicks on the ponds at one time.

Second Annual Spring Cleanup - April 8, 2009
You may have seen the signs at the park announcing our "spring cleanup" event. You may have noticed that they are now gone, and we hope that you have noticed that the park is nice and tidy.

Next Box Maintenance - March 2009
The bluebird and Wood Duck nest boxes in the park were built and placed by local boy scouts, led by scoutmaster Craig Miller. We've observed Eastern Bluebirds, Black-capped Chickadees, Tree Swallows, and House Wrens nesting the the bluebird boxes. The ponds have hosted fledgling Wood Ducks for at least the past two years,
